Bette Sue Jackson, 67, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday morning, Jan. 25, 2016, in the comfort of her home and the presence of her family.

She was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to Hurlet Hugh and Princess Irene (Jordan) Conrad, the eldest daughter and third of eight children. She married Roger John Jackson March 26, 1968 in Berwyn, Illinois. He survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Renee Elizabeth Jackson.

Bette will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Roger J. Jackson, Sr., of Cassopolis; one daughter, Paula Caballero of Cassopolis; one son, Roger (wife, Rita) Jackson, Jr., of Cassopolis; two grandsons, Robert Jackson and Ricky Jackson, both of Cassopolis; seven siblings, Hugh (wife, Arlene) Conrad of Camden, Tennessee, Curtis “Butch” (wife, Kathy) Conrad of Ramsey, Illinois, Gene (wife, Sharon) Conrad of Bridgeview, Illinois, Melba (husband, Tim) Rubel of Camden, Tennessee, John (wife, Darlene) Conrad of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ron (wife, Nancy) Conrad of Tampa, Florida, Marilyn (husband, Bill) Nunnery of McKenzie, Tennessee; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a short service to immediately follow at 1 p.m. (Michigan Time) in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with Pastor Douglas Tindall officiating. Mrs. Jackson will be laid to rest in Union Protestant (Dailey) Cemetery in Cassopolis.
