Myrtle M. Adams, 92, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at her home in Dowagiac, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, Mich. with Reverend Jim Dunn officiating. . Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice At Home in her memory. Myrtle was born on Dec. 13, 1923, in Brookland, Arkansas to Clem and Lilly (Askren) Stoker. She married Abram “Slim” Adams in Jonesboro, Arkansas on May 15, 1943. Myrtle enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and other board games. Myrtle was very active in her church and in the Ladies Moose Club. Myrtle loved her family, including the Konopinski/Bergemann family that adopted her as one of their own.

Myrtle is survived by her grandson Ryan (Cynthia) Reist of Bonnieville, Kentucky; and a sister Edna Smith of Mishawaka.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Slim Adams on May 16, 2012, and her daughter Patricia Reist on Nov. 15, 1975, along with one brother and two sisters.
