Alice W. Morrow, 89, of Millersburg died peacefully, surrounded by family, at Majora Lane Center on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wooster, 621 College Ave., Wooster. Friends may call at the church prior to the service from 2-4 p.m. Interment of her cremains will take place at Cranberry Lake Cemetery, Cranberry Lake, New York at a later date. Alice was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Syracuse, New York to John M and Cora P (Ferris) Walter. She married Keith A Morrow on Sept. 12, 1953. He died Feb. 24, 2006.

Alice grew up in Emporium PA. After graduating from Emporium High School, she attended Bryant and Stratton Business School in Buffalo, New York where she graduated with honors after completing the school’s two year Secretarial Science program in 18 months. Upon graduation, she returned to Emporium to work at Sylvania Electric Company. She transferred to the Sylvania Electric plant in Seneca Falls, New York where she became the Executive Secretary to the Vice-President of the company. This is where she met her husband Keith, an industrial engineer for the company. In 1960, after seven years of marriage and the birth of their three children, Alice and Keith moved their family to Paint Lick, Kentucky when Keith enrolled at the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. In 1963, they moved to Palmyra Michigan where Alice continued being a stay-at-home mother. The Morrow family moved to Buchanan, Michigan in 1968 and it was there that Alice returned to work as secretary to the principle at Moccasin Elementary School. When Keith and Alice moved to Homer, Michigan in 1978, she became a secretary and also transportation supervisor for the Homer School system. Alice retired from this position in 1984 and she and Keith relocated to Wooster Ohio.

Following retirement, she and Keith spent 14 years traveling throughout the United States in their RV. In addition to traveling to nearly all 48 mainland states, they traveled to Nova Scotia, Mexico and British Columbia. During that time, they also spent their winters in the desert southwest of Phoenix, Arizona and their summers at their cabin at Cranberry Lake, New York. After her husband’s death, Alice continued to take trips to Florida and Michigan to spend time with her family, and also to the cabin at Cranberry Lake.

Alice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wooster, Kenjockety Club of Wooster, and the Business and Professional Women’s Club. Throughout the years she was a member of various women’s church circle groups and she was a deacon in the Presbyterian Church. Because of her love of reading, during her summers at Cranberry Lake, Alice was a dedicated volunteer at the village library. A cancer survivor of 20 years, Alice was a supportive of and proud participant in the Wooster and Holmes County Relay for Life annual events.

Preceding Alice in death were her parents, husband Keith, son Eric, twin sister Anne McKinney and brothers-in-law Fred Rhebergen and Don McKinney.

Alice is survived by daughters Carol (George) Beaman of Niles, Michigan, Linda (Frank) Gilbert of Fredericksburg, daughter-in-law Lou Ann (Eric) Morrow of New Port Richey, Florida and her sister Lois Rhebergen of Baldwinsville, New York. Alice was a proud grandmother to Michael (Andrea), Andrew and Brent Morrow, Jared and Matthew Withers (Beaman), Michaelle Beaman-DeVeese, and Ben(Luella), Ryan (London) and Rebecca Gilbert. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren Nicholas and Madison Morrow, Jenna, Tyler, Keith, Jaymes, Roman, Deacon, Jayson (Deeds) and McKenna Gilbert. Also surviving are nieces Keri Rhebergen, Susan Weaver, Pat Guevara, Phyllis Cook and Pixie (Paula) Stone and nephews Paul Rhebergen, Don, Bob, and John McKinney and Steve Stone.

Due to Alice’s Alzheimer’s Disease, she had resided at Majora Lane Center for the last five years. Her family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the loving care and ‘home’ provided by the staff of Majora Lane. They also wish to express their gratitude to her doctors and the staff of LifeCare Hospice.
