The No. 7-ranked Niles wrestling team will try to defend its Lakeshore Super Duals title Jan. 23 in Stevensville.

The Vikings went 4-0 to win last year’s championship.

Niles defeated Rockford 57-10, East Lansing 72-6, Springport 55-11 and Coldwater 73-0.

This year’s tournament field will include No. 3-ranked Eaton Rapids, Rockford, Coldwater, No. 6-ranked (Division 4) Springport and the host Lancers.

Wrestling will begin at noon. Admission is $5 per person.

Niles and Eaton Rapids will square off in the opening round.

Niles will face Rockford in the second round, Springport in the third round and Coldwater in the final round.

Springport went 3-1 to finish second in 2015. Coldwater was 2-2, Lakeshore 2-2 and Rockford 1-3.

Mitchell Findeisen was 4-0 at last year’s tournament, while Cade Stephenson was 3-0.
