Cass County COA helps community stay active

The Cass County COA has planned a number of activities for this week.. Front Street Crossing is located at 227 S. Front St., in Dowagiac.

 

Monday, Dec. 14

Cardio challenge

8 to 8:45 a.m.

This low-impact, high-energy class will challenge your entire body with cardio, strength training, and balance exercises. Mat exercises are also incorporated for a well-rounded workout. Cost is $25 per month or $5 for walk-ins.

 

Vim & Vigor Transitions

9 to 9:45 a.m.

This class begins with a stand-up energizing aerobic workout and ends with a chair cool down and stretch. The focus is on heart health, strength, flexibility and balance. Cost is $25 per month or $5 for walk-ins.

 

S.E.A.T. (Sit, Exercise, and Tone) 

10 to 10:45 a.m.

This chair-based class is great for anyone concerned with balance and stability. The focus is on maintaining flexibility and strength. Cost is $25 per month or $5 for walk-ins.

 

Tai Chi

11 a.m.

Improve your posture, strength of hips, thighs and core with this gentle mind body exercise. Good for arthritis, blood pressure and sense of well-being. Cost is $20 per month.

 

Bingo

1 p.m.

Follow the lunch hour by playing for fun and prizes. Cost is $2.25.

Hollywood Treasures

1 to 3 p.m.

December’s feature is “The Santa Clause.” Scott Calvin inadvertently kills Santa on Christmas Eve. To impress his son, he puts on the suit only to discover the magic has just begun. Starring Tim Allen & Eric Lloyd. Free movie (closed captioned), popcorn, and water.
