Bob enjoyed traveling – beyond his hours at work – and his family remembers that he was willing to stop at every tourist point of interest along the way. He also earned his pilot’s license. Closer to home, he enjoyed golfing at Orchard Hills, playing pool, and playing poker, especially Texas Hold ‘Em.
On Dec. 2, 1969, in South Bend he married the former Linda G. Singleton, with whom he celebrated the 46th anniversary of their wedding the day prior to his death.
Surviving family includes his wife, Linda Moyer and their children, Heidi (& Patrick) Mesecar and Robert (Carrie) Moyer, both of Niles; two daughters from a previous marriage, Cindy (Jason) Lance of Detroit, Michigan and Lorri (Ben) Crane of Elkhart; grandchildren Casey Mesecar, Kylie Mesecar, and Heather Moyer; and Bob’s brother, Charles (Rita) Moyer and sister, Sandy (Dale) Robinson of Dowagiac, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Charlotte Dietz.
