Working

Mary Marshall and Ken Working were high school and college sweethearts for eight years before being married at St. Mark Catholic Church in Niles, on Sept. 25, 1965.

Ken is an Army Vietnam veteran who retired from teaching industrial arts and instrumental music in 2002.

He graduated from Niles High School and Michigan State University.

Mary also graduated from Niles Community Schools, and Western Michigan University. She spent her teaching career in the field of special education and retired from Niles schools in 2003.

Mary and Ken are the parents of one daughter, Kristina (Brian) Middleton, and have been blessed with three grandchildren: Megan, Serra and Maxwell Lutzen.

Mary and Ken both enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, fishing, volunteering, just enjoying retirement and sharing activities with their grandchildren.

They will celebrate with a family dinner.
