Armitage

John and Lorraine Armitage, of Niles, are celebrating the 60th anniversary of their wedding.

John and Lorraine were married on Oct. 1, 1955, at the First United Methodist Church (now Wesley United Methodist Church) in Niles.

They are the proud parents of three children: Lynette (Bruce) Hamby, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Keith (Carole) Armitage, of Salen, South Carolina; and Herbert (Jeanne) Armitage, of Bridgman.

They have seven grandchildren: Jeremiah Hamby, Rebekah Hamby Netters, Trenton Armitage, Zack Prehn, Bree Prehn, Stephen Armitage and Ian Armitage.

They also have one great-granddaughter, Hannah Prehn.

The Armitages say it has been a great 60 years, and they’re still going strong.
