Janice Kay Kruse, 67, of Oak Harbor, Ohio died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born April 25, 1948, in Goshen, Indiana to the late Clarence Boyd and Alice Mae (Brothers) Mahan. She was a 1967 graduate of Brandywine High School in Niles.

On March 1, 1968, she married Martin Kruse and he survives.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years Martin of Oak Harbor; children: Brian (Leslie Rollheiser) Kruse of Oak Harbor, Geoffrey Kruse of South Carolina, and Jennifer (Jason) Peelor of Elmore, Ohio; brothers: Roger (Sharon) Mahan of Bloomfield, Indiana and Michael (Deborah) Mahan of Corunna, Michigan; grandchildren: Mike Benton, Jamie Spanner, Dustin Kruse and Caitlin Kruse; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Kendall, and Dustalynn. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Mahan.

Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service. Burial will be in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, American Lung Association, or American Cancer Society.
