Barbara F. Hoover, 87, of Cassopolis, and Sanibel Island, Florida, died peacefully Sunday, July 19, 2015, in the Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac.

She was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Lyle and Evelyn (Wylie) Burton. She married Herbert W. Hoover Jan. 29, 1978, in Columbus, Indiana. He survives.

Barbara will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Herb Hoover of Cassopolis and Sanibel Island, Florida; one daughter, Lora (David) Pitman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one son, Herb Hoover of Bloomington, Indiana; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service in Columbus at a date and time to be announced.
