Dowagiac 8U All-Stars win Berrien Springs title

The Dowagiac 8U All-Stars captured the Berrien Springs Tournament championship with a 22-7 win over Bridgman.

The All-Stars went 4-0, defeating Berrien Springs 10-0, Watervliet 8-4 and River Valley 8-6.

In the Eaton Park Invitational, Dowagiac finished second after falling to St. Joseph 10-8 in the title game.

The All-Stars reached the title game with a 17-12 win over Buchanan, 5-1 win over St. Joseph and an 11-1 win over Lakeshore.

Game MVPs for the tournament were Abbey Dobberstein (St. Joseph and Lakeshore), Rebecca Guernsey (Buchanan) and Danni Pulee (championship game)
