Garold Quick, 93, of Berrien Springs, passed away at Hanson Hospice on Thursday, July 9, 2015.

On April 16, 1922, in Collison, Illinois Garold was born to the late Ralph and Lucy (Doyle) Quick.

In 1939, he married Helen Davis Quick, from that union two children were born; Patricia and Jerry Quick.

On Oct. 25, 1958, Garold wed Josephine “Jo” Litty, at a ceremony in Mattawan, Michigan.

Garold belonged to many different civic organizations and was a member of numerous clubs including serving as representative to the union with AIW . Later in life, Garold began to enjoy the simple things, he found pleasure in things that most might overlook or even think of as a task, for Garold though, he could spend hours tending to his yard.

Garold is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Josephine “Jo” (Litty) Quick, his brothers George and Elmer Quick, son in-law Darwin Kipker and a great grandson.

Garold is survived by his daughter, Patricia Kipker of Niles, Michigan, son; Jerry (Jacki) Quick of Spring Hill, Tennessee, grandchildren; Chrissie (Terry) Crisp of Nashville, Tennessee, Deborah (Terry) Stough of Cassopolis, Michigan, Alex Quick of Hermosa Beach, California he is also survived by his great grandchildren; Jessica, Matthew, Chase, Adam and Hunter and several loved nieces and nephews.

Services for Garold will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 12 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning one hour ahead of time at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51 North, Niles, Michigan.
