Kurt Erickson, 73, of Decatur, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, in Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Kurt was born June 23, 1942, in Three Rivers, the son of Wilbur and Vivian (Garter) Erickson. He had served in the U.S. Army.

He was a professor at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, where he taught economics and business law.

He married Florence Starrett Aug. 20, 1988, and she survives. Also surviving are a step-son, Jason (Kelly) Okay, of Gaylord, Michigan; a sister, Gail (Richard) Selvala of Naples, Florida and a brother, Ross (Lori) Erickson, of Redwood City, California.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
