Pony League All-Stars dominate at Paw Paw

The Dowagiac Pony League All-Stars hammered the competition last week in the Paw Paw tournament.

Dowagiac cruised to the championship by beating every opponent by the mercy rule in shortened innings.

Dowagiac was dominate on the mound and averaged giving up less than one hit per contest. Dowagiac finished with more than 10 hits per game offensively.
Dowagiac beat Gobles in the semifinals 10-0 in four innings.  Chance Wernlund got the start and Hunter Williamson closed in a combined no-hitter.

In the finals, Dowagiac ousted Lakeshore 10-0 in four innings with a no-hit performance by Kale Britton.

Dowagiac also had Williamson toss a two-hitter and Wernlund threw a one hitter as the all-stars advanced to the final four.
Dowagiac got home runs from Derek Flory and Williamson.

The all-stars will play in the Lakeshore tournament this week.
