One of the area’s most popular motorcycle ride fundraisers is set to roll off next weekend on a 50-mile trip through southwest Michigan.

While people can register all the way up to the day of the event, those wanting to ensure themselves of getting a Niles Burn Run shirt need to pre-register before the end of the day Friday, July 3.

Any registrations taken after Friday will only get ride shirts on a first-come, first served basis.

The ride itself will begin at noon Sunday, July 12, in downtown Niles.

The cost is $20 per bike or $30 with a rider for those who register by Friday. After that, the cost is $25 per bike or $35 with a rider.

For those that wait to the last minute, registration will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on the day of the ride.

The easiest way to register is online at the event’s website (nilesburnrun.com), but people can also print off a registration form and mail it to: Niles Burn Run, 1445 S. Third St., Niles MI 49120.

All proceeds from the ride go to benefit the Great Lakes Burn Camp, a camp set up to help kids who have been burned or traumatized by fire.

The 2014 event allowed the Burn Run to donate $24,000 to the camp, which was enough money to send 40 kids to camp.

It costs approximately $600 to send each child to the Great Lakes Burn Camp.

In addition to the motorcycle ride, the Burn Run will offer entertainment throughout the weekend in Niles, including live music, automobile show, games, food and more.
