Sharon L. Clarke, 77, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at her home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Kel Penny of First United Methodist Church.

She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. at a later date. Friends may visit with the family from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Sharon was born January 14, 1938 in Dowagiac, MI to Charles and Audrey (Taylor) Fritz Sr. She graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1956. Sharon married the love of her life, Fred E. Clarke on May 4, 1957 in Dowagiac. She retired from the Dowagiac Union High School where she served as the head cook for almost 30 years. Sharon loved cooking for her family. She also enjoyed her time up north at the cabin in Iron, Michigan. Sharon supported the local Dowagiac Chieftain Football team and the Detroit Tigers.

Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Fred E. Clarke; children, Pamela Clarke (Becky Martinez) of Hartford, Michigan, Vicki (Chris) Colvin of Springhill, Tennessee, and Fred J. Clarke of Stevensville, Michigan; grandchildren, Brett (Nisse) Graham of Lacy, Washington, Kirk (Elizabeth) Graham of Big Rapids, Michigan, Stuart P. and Maree Clarke of Stevensville, Michigan; a great granddaughter Amelia Graham; two brothers Donnie (Jane) Fritz of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Bruce (Pam) Fritz of Dowagiac, Michigan; sister Diane (Ron) First of Dowagiac; and sisters in law Judy (Earl) Corak of Eau Claire, Michigan and Bonnie Fritz of Dowagiac.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother in law Joan (Jim) Keen and a brother Charles Fritz Jr.
