Art association to discuss impressionism

The Niles Art Association will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at the Niles District Library, 602 E. Main St., Niles. Alan Larkin, retired professor of drawing and printmaking from Indiana University South Bend, will the guest speaker for the evening.

His program will include discussing the trap that Impressionism seems to set for artists and how he has reacted to it. He will show a survey of his work, including paintings and etchings spanning the last 30 years.
