Arthur A. Krieger, 91, of Edwardsburg, died peacefully Saturday, June 13, 2015, in Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis.

Arthur was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Sawyer, Michigan, to Paul and Matilda (Schmidt) Krieger. He married Barbara Jean Horner June 23, 1945, in Sawyer. She preceded him in death April 29, 2010. He was also preceded by his parents; one sister, Charlotte (John) Wennenberg; and one brother, DeWayne Krieger.

Arthur had a passion for fishing, golfing and gardening.

Arthur will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Cheri (Steve) Krieger-Presnell, of Edwardsburg; four step grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-granddaughter and one step great-great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Raymond (Jackie) Krieger of St. Joseph, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews, especially Robert Horner Jr.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, June 16, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway St., Cassopolis. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 West Cleveland Rd., Granger, Indiana, with the Rev. Paul Doellinger officiating. Mr. Krieger will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Barbara Krieger.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Arthur’s name to Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 305 West State St., Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
