Brandywine coach David Sidenbender, who picked up his 300th career victory earlier this year, will be one of the coaches of the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association’s All-Star Game at Comerica Park in Detroit June 17.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at Comerica Park for $10.

Sidenbender was informed that he would be one of the coaches in February.

“It is a tremendous honor and I am really exited about it,” he said. “Getting to work a little with the best seniors in the State of Michigan is really awesome and also working with other coaches selected will be a great experience as well. It has just been a humbling year, 300 wins, a high state ranking and now this. I know not every coach gets to do these things so I feel so grateful and blessed.”

Among the players on the West All-Star roster is Watervliet’s Ashton Holdridge, who has committed to Arkansas Pine Bluff; Jordyn Muffley of Portage Central, who has committed to Parkland Community College; Luke Shaefer of Portage Central, who has committed to Central Michigan; Max Schuemann of Portage Northern, who has committed to Eastern Michigan; Jarod Burton of Gull Lake, who has committed to Central Michigan and Mattawan’s C.J. Huntley, who has committed to Indiana State.
