Dale James Barko, 58, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Friday, May 29, 2015, in his residence.

He was born April 9, 1957, in Niles, to Walter and Eleanor (Zemroski) Barko. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Denny Barko.

Dale was a fixture at Park Shore Golf Course in Cassopolis. He had a passion for pets, especially his dog and his cats. Dale loved his family.

Dale will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by one sister, Judy (Jay) Stickle, of Cassopolis; one brother, Wayne (Jane) Barko, of Silver City, New Mexico; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Friday, June 5, 2015, from 5 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. in Diamond Cove Missionary Church, 22820 Diamond Cove St., Cassopolis, with the Rev. Charlie Keller officiating.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Dale’s name to Cass County Animal Shelter, 323 M-62 N., Cassopolis, MI 49031.
