Dustin James Luse, age 19, died Friday, May 29, 2015, in Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana as the result of an automobile accident.

Dustin was born August 26, 1995, in Mishawaka, Indiana to Michelle Luse and Richard Stinnett His parents survive.

Dustin had a heart of gold, always placing others before himself. Those who knew him best, and especially his mother, knew just how special he was. All he ever wanted was to be loved and to fit in. Since the age of five, his lifelong goal was to swim with the sharks. His family contends that no one knew more about sharks than he did.

Dustin will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Michelle (Luse) Hyde of Cassopolis, his father, Richard Stinnett of Middlebury, Indiana; two brothers, Devon Luse of Middlebury, Indiana and Ivory McCullough at home; maternal grandparents, Marilyn Luse of South Bend, Indiana and Jack Luse of Niles, Michigan; paternal grandparents, Bill and Linda Stinnett of Cassopolis; and a host of relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, June 5, 2015 from 4 until 6 p.m. in Cassopolis United Methodist Church, 209 South Rowland Street, Cassopolis. The family is grateful for the many expressions of sympathy and support offered by family and friends. They will observe a private remembrance of Dustin with the Reverend Benjamin David Hutchison, Pastor of Cassopolis United Methodist Church, officiating.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Dustin’s name to Cassopolis United Methodist Church, 209 South Rowland Street, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
