Shirley Ann Wilson, age 73 years of Niles, Michigan died at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at her home following an illness.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1941, in Buchanan, Michigan to George and Dorothy (Dunifin) Wallace. She was graduated from Buchanan High School, and has lived in this area all of her life. She was employed for many years on the staff of area hotels, and most recently had been employed at Goodwill Industries in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Shirley had travelled throughout the United States with her family, and enjoyed the fellowship of friends while dining at restaurants. She practiced various handcrafts at home, enjoyed reading current events and Christian oriented literature, and is best remembered as a humble, good person.
On July 25, 2008, she married Mr. Ruthel R. Wilson, who survives. Also surviving are her sister, Barbara Phelps of Niles, and brother, Raymond Wallace of Three Rivers, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy Wallace.
The family and relatives of Shirley Wilson will be honoring her life and sharing memories in a private manner. Arrangements were made at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
