LAWRENCE — The Dowagiac baseball team dropped a pair of decisions to host Lawrence Thursday.

The Tigers defeated the Chieftains 9-1 and 6-1.

Matt Smith took the loss in the opener, while Brenden Dudley was the losing pitcher in the nightcap.

Mason Hojara doubled for Dowagiac in the second game.
