PAW PAW — Sturgis captured the Division 3 Regional Tennis Championship at Paw Paw High School Friday.

The Trojans had five individual champions and a finalist in all eight flights en route to scoring 26 points and easily defeating runners-up Lakeshore and Edwardsburg.

The Eddies and Lancers finished with 19 points and both advanced to the state finals May 29-30 at Holly, Fenton and Grand Blanc.

Katelyn Rogers and Katherine Nunan captured the No. 1 doubles championship for Edwardsburg, while Zoe Laubach and Malary VanOverberghe won the No. 2 doubles title.
Lexy Deak and Morgan Rockhill were champions at No. 3 doubles.

Edwardsburg’s Kim Bartz was named Division 3 Regional Coach of the Year.
