Brooke Smith scored on a penalty kick in the 35th minute to lift Brandywine to a 1-0 non-conference soccer victory over LaLumiere Thursday.

LaLumiere outshot the Bobcats 8-7 in the contest.

Sloan Kangas had eight saves for Brandywine, which improved to 9-2.
