What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

ES: Getting to start on varsity as a freshman.

 

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

ES: Losing districts two years in a row.

 

What has been a hardship in your life?

ES: Losing coach (Leon) Bagwell.

 

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

ES: My grandma Jewell because she is kind and generous. She also cares and loves all people and animals

 

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

ES: Right before I get up to bat.

 

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

ES: Getting thrown out at home while trying for an inside-the-park home run.

 

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

ES: I really never workout by myself.

 

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

ES: Tennis.

 

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

ES: My Dad. He always pushes me to do my best. He also supports me in everything I do.

 

How would you give away $50,000?

ES: I would donate the money to the youth softball/baseball programs.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

ES: The USA Softball team.

 

If I did not play sports, I would…?

ES: Play guitar.

 

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

ES: Having to decide what to do when I am up to bat.

 

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

ES: We could lead off before the pitcher releases the ball.

 

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

ES: “You are way better than your sister.”

 

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

ES: Switch schools from Niles to Buchanan. Yes, it was the best decision I have ever made.

 

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

ES: When Jayla Bibbs hit a three-run walk off home run to win the Buck Classic for us and she is only a freshman.

 

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

ES: Hanging out with friends because we always have the best times together.
