PAW PAW — A short-handed Dowagiac soccer team was no match for Paw Paw in a Wolverine Conference West Division match Monday.

The match lasted just 40 minutes due to the mercy rule.

The Chieftains were without several starters, including goalkeeper Grace Younger for a variety of reasons.

Alexia Case, Kaley Buck and Kate Thompson all scored two goals for the Redskins.

Gwen Summons and Katie Hurrle combined to stop 17 shots for Dowagiac, which falls to 0-11 on the year and 0-4 in the West.
