Rangers split with Centreville

CENTREVILLE — Visiting Cassopolis split a BCS Athletic Conference East Division softball doubleheader with Centreville Thursday.

The Rangers (7-5), 1-3 East) dropped the first game 4-2, but rebounded to blow out the Bulldogs 26-12 in the second game, which lasted just four innings.

In the nightcap, Rachelle Williams earned the victory and was 2-for-5 at the plate with a double and two RBIs.

Nikki Keefe was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while Kaylynn Forrest was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and Jayna Locke 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
