Edwardsburg improves to 8-0 in Wolverine West

The Edwardsburg Eddies improved to 8-0 in the Wolverine West Division baseball race with a sweep of visiting Berrien Springs Friday.

The Eddies (12-6) defeated the Shamrocks 5-1 and 16-1 in five innings.

Dalton Raymond tossed a four-hitter in the opening game with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

He also had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs.

In the nightcap, Joe Raab picked up the win with Jesse Reinebold coming on in the fourth inning for relief. The two combined for a two-hitter and nine strikeouts.

Reinebold was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Damion Pompey was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.
