Eddies sweep Shamrocks 12-0 and 18-3

Edwardsburg had little trouble disposing of Wolverine Conference West Division foe Berrien Springs in softball Friday.

The Eddies swept the Shamrocks 12-0 and 18-3. Both games lasted just three innings.

In the opener, Edwardsburg scored 15 runs on 12 hits. McKenzie Creed was 3-for-3 with four RBIs, while Kailee Claire tripled and drove in two runs. Rileigh Disher was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Delaney Peters tossed a two-hitter with four strikeouts and no walks.

In the nightcap, Hannah Shoupe picked up the win as she tossed a four-hitter with four strikeouts, while at the plate she went 3-for-3 with a doubled, a triple and an RBI.

Claire was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs and Savannah Dixon was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Creed finished with two hits, including a double and three RBIs.

The Eddies are now 19-2 overall and 6-2 in the West Division.
