Brandywine sweeps Marcellus

MARCELLUS — Visiting Brandywine scored 29 runs on 28 hits in a sweep of Marcellus in non-conference baseball Friday.

Cole Searles (3-0) tossed a no-hitter with three strikeouts as the Bobcats won the opening game 15-0 in four innings.

Matt Vaughn (3-1) tossed a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks in Brandywine’s 14-0, five-inning win over the Wildcats in the nightcap.

Tanner Bourdon, Hunter Janowiak and Searles all doubled in the opening game victory.

Searles tripled in the second game, while Zack Grishaber, Toby Fox and Janowiak all doubled.

Brandywine is now 12-2 on the year.
