Shirley Ann Klug, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St Joseph, with Rev. Glenn Rosenbaum officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Shirley was born on Feb. 13, 1936, to Henry and Norma (Witkowski) Steinke in Dowagiac. She graduated from Dowagiac High School. On April 15, 1967 she married Edward C. Klug at Trinity Lutheran in St. Joseph. Shirley worked as an accountant at Theisen Clemens and Hughs Plastics. She enjoyed being involved at Grace Lutheran Church as a member of the choir and bell choir as well as many other activities for the church and school. Shirley loved playing golf with her league at Pipestone Creek Golf Course, and also enjoyed cross country skiing, going to the beach and gardening. Shirley was always willing to give anyone a hand and most importantly loved spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Tami (Mike) Genovese of St. Joseph, Sharon (Carl) Warren of Stevensville, Lisa (Jay) Ammons of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina and son, Michael Klug of St. Joseph. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mandi (Gary) Coburn, Megan Genovese, Stephen Warren and Blake Warren; great-grandchildren, Maya Layton, Drew Coburn, and Izack Coburn; three siblings: Leonard Steinke and Ruth (John) Trotsky; and sister-in-law Linda Steinke.

Shirley was preceded by her parents, husband, Edward on Jan. 5, 2011, and her brother Robert Steinke in 2010.
