Brandywine All-Stars second at state

The Brandywine Cal Ripken 8-year-old All-Stars finished second at the state tournament over the weekend. The Howard Township Cal Ripken 8-year-old All-Stars defeated Brandywine 8-2 in the championship game of the state tournament held at Janowski Park in Milford over the weekend.

Brandywine reached the finals by defeating Alpena 10-2, Huron Valley Maroon 26-5 and Clinton Valley Blue 17-14 in pool play.

In the semifinals, Brandywine defeated Lanse Cruise 11-8.
