The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce will host an After-Hours Networking Event for chamber member United Federal Credit Union.

The After-Hours Event will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at 123 Sycamore St., Niles.

Branch Manager Lorrie Vallance welcomes the community to experience this location and all that UFCU has to offer. Cost for the event is $5 for Chamber members and $20 for prospective members.

In 1949, United Federal Credit Union was founded by five employees at the Whirlpool manufacturing plant in St. Joseph, Michigan. A part-time volunteer staff ran the credit union from a cash box in the personnel office. From those humble beginnings, the credit union has grown to 23 branches in six states, $1.5 billion in assets, and over 120,000 members.

The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to building a better community for business. Together, the Chamber does what no person can do by themselves. The Four Flags Chamber of Commerce, first established in 1919, has been in continuous operation since 1930, and proudly serves nearly 40,000 people in four townships.
