Roundup: Plenty of golf outings in June

The Niles football and softball golf outing will be held June 21 at Hampshire Country Club.

The outing will start at 8 a.m. Cost is $50 per golfer and includes greens fees, cart and lunch, as well as a hole-in-one contest, longest drive for both men and women, punt, pass and kick hole, hit, throw and pitch hole, skins game and 50/50 drawings.

Sponsorships are also available:

 

• Platinum Corporate Sponsor — $2,000

Your business will be recognized with a 3×9-foot vinyl banner that will be displayed at the outing as well as all home varsity, JV, freshmen and Rocket Football games; all softball games and will appear at the end of the year banquet programs. All corporate sponsors receive an entry for two foursomes at the outing and three commercial spots during home football games.

 

• Corporate Sponsor — $1,000

Your business will be recognized with a 3×9 vinyl banner that will be displayed at the outing as well as all home varsity, JV, freshmen and Rocket Football games; all softball games and will appear at the end of the year banquet programs. All corporate sponsors receive an entry for a foursome at the outing.

 

• Gold Sponsor — $500

Your business will receive two entry fees out of four for golf, You will also have a 2×3-foot sign that will be displayed at the outing as well as all home varsity, JV, freshmen and Rocket Football games; all softball games and will appear at the end of the year banquet programs.

 

• Blue Sponsor — $200

Your business will have a 2×3-foot sign that will be displayed at the outing as well as all home varsity, JV, freshmen and Rocket Football games; all softball games and will appear at the end of the year banquet programs.

Knights golf out June 14

The Dowagiac Knights of Columbus are hosting their annual K of C Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament June 14 at Spruce Ridge Golf Club.

The tournament will benefit the John Tuka/Tony Krukowski scholarships.

The four-person scramble will begin at 9 a.m. Cost is $200 per team and includes greens fees, carts, lunch and beverages.

Early entries, by June 1, are $180 per team.

There will be special hole-in-one prizes, as well as longest drive, 50/50 and closest to the pin contests.

Chieftain outing at Indian Lake Hills

The 11th annual Chieftain Golf Outing will be held at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course June 12.

Spots are still available for both teams and sponsors.

Cost is $400 per team or $100 per individual.

There are six sponsorship levels:

 

• Platinum Level Sponsor — $2000 and above

At the platinum level, your business will be recognized during the reception following the outing, on signage at the registration table, included in all district wide publicity, and the entry for one foursome for each $1,000 contributed will be paid.

 

• Gold Level Sponsor — $1000

Same as the Platinum Level, but only one foursome included.

 

• Scholarship Hole Sponsor — $500

As an athletic scholarship hole sponsor, your business will provide one Dowagiac student-athlete a college scholarship to be awarded at the annual All-Sports Reception.

Your business will be recognized at the banquet as well as with signage at one of the holes and the registration table.

 

• Silver Level Sponsor — $250

At the silver level, your business will be a sponsor in the longest drive, closest to pin or hole-in-one contests.

 

• Bronze Level Sponsor — $100

At the bronze level, your business will be named on one of the 18 holes as a hole sponsor.

 

• Merchandise Sponsor

As a merchandise sponsor, your business can make a donation of merchandise or gift certificates to be used as prizes. Your business could also donate services for the outing.

Elks Jr. Golf begins June 16

The Dowagiac Elks Club Junior Golf Program begins June 16 at the Dowagiac Elks Golf Course.

Sign-up sheets are now available at the course or you can call 782-3889 for more information. It is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 14.

Cost is $50 per golfer. The program runs from 8:30 to 11 a.m. each Monday through the end of July.

There are a limited number of Junior Golf club sets available for beginners to use and a limited number of program scholarships available.
