Cassopolis Thespian Troupe 2323 will present the “75th Annual Actor Games” this weekend at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School.
The play, written by Wade Bradford, is being directed by Jean Porath.
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Since the auditorium was damaged during the winter by a water leak and restoration has not been finished, the event will be free of charge.
“Due to our current circumstances, we elected to do a shorter, less cumbersome play than those in the past,” Porath said. “We weren’t sure where it would be performed, so we could not do anything with standing sets. We are delighted, however, to be presenting this to you in our favorite of places, our Ross Beatty stage, and hope that you will pardon our dust and uncarpeted floors.
“The students had a hand in picking this play. They wanted something fun and enjoyed that this one parodied a book that most of them, and a lot of the general public, has read — ‘The Hunger Games.’”
