The Brandywine tennis team defeated cross-town rival Niles 5-3 in non-conference action Monday.

The Bobcats were originally scheduled to travel to Kalamazoo to face Hackett, but due to the Irish being behind in league matches, that match was postponed until next Monday.

Niles had an open date and so the two schools paired up for a match.

The Bobcats won three out of four singles matches, while the two split the doubles flights.

The Vikings’ lone victory in singles came from Anna Flahaven who defeated Abbey Cole 6-1 and 6-2.

With the win, Brandywine improves to 12-0 on the year.
