Dale and Nancy Pallas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Front Street Crossing in Dowagiac.

On Feb. 7, 1964, Dale Pallas of Watervliet and Nancy Stein of Benton Harbor were married at the First Congregational Church in Benton Harbor, and after residing in Watervliet and Killeen, Texas, have been residents of Dowagiac for 46 years.

Dale is retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement Center in Benton Harbor, and has been active in the community for many years.

He currently serves on boards for the Cass County COA, the Cass County Transportation Authority and the Dowagiac Housing Commission. He is active with the Dogwood Festival Tea Committee. Blossomtime Festival Fashion Show and Parade Committees; and is a member of Fernwood Botanic Garden and the Moose Lodge.

Nancy is retired from the Fourth District Court in Cass County, where she served as judicial assistant/court recorder. She is a life member of Beta Sigma Phi International and is in Dowagiac’s Alpha Upsilon Master Chapter. She is a member of the Dogwood Festival and serves on the tea committee, Junior Arts Club of Dowagiac and 100 Women Who Care. She serves on the Blossomtime Festival fashion show and parade committees and volunteers at the Berrien County courthouse in St. Joseph as a greeter and in the probate court and works part-time at Matthews Real Estate.
