In front, from left, are: Taylor Clingaman, Allyson Perkins, Tammy Lee, Margaret Beaver and Jiaxin Teng.
Co-valedictorians Trent Moskwinski and Jacob Wright don’t just share the honor of being at the top of the Brandywine High School Class of 2014, they also share the work ethic that got them there.
“A lot of it came naturally, but the most difficult part was making sure you put forth the effort all four years,” said Wright.
“Hard work and determination,” said Moskwinski. “It might sound cliché, but that’s about it.”
Moskwinski said he plans to study bio-chemistry and neuroscience at Indiana University. He wants to be an orthopedic spinal surgeon.
“My dad has had 11 back surgeries, so ever since third grade I’ve wanted to do that,” said Moskwinski, an All-Lakeland Conference tight-end.
Wright wants to study mathematics and actuary science at Michigan State University.
“I hope to be an actuary because I’ve always liked math. It’s really a math-related career that is not in the engineering field,” said Wright, a member of the 2013 Baseball All-State Academic Team.
Both thanked their parents for instilling in them a good work ethic.
