Raymond Samuel Jones, 59, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Friday, April 11, 2014.

Raymond was born on Sept. 6, 1954, to the late Samuel and Dorothy (Haynes) Cooper in Tyronza, Ark. He was one of nine children growing up in the Jones household.
After high school Raymond enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for several years and in 1988 Raymond wed Earlene Cooper at a ceremony in Niles.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Vicky Jones.
Ray is survived by his wife, Earlene Jones of Niles and siblings Mary Ellen Baker of Trumann, Arkansas, Sammie (Lonnie) Hicks of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Michael (Debbie) Jones of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, James (Faith) Jones of Trumann, Clyde Jones of Jonesboro, Ark., Sue Faulkner of Trumann and Curtis Jones of Salisbury, Missouri.
