Bobcats, Vikings returning to action

It will be a busy weekend for Brandywine and Niles sports teams.

After having games cancelled earlier in the week due to more than an inch of snow that fell Monday night, the Bobcats and Vikings are itching to get back to work.

Today Niles tennis will host Portage Northern at 4 p.m., while the Vikings softball team heads to Stevensville to take on Lakeshore in a key Big 16 West Division doubleheader at 4 p.m.

Brandywine will host Bridgman in tennis at 4 p.m. at Plym Park and Cassopolis and a few other schools in track at 4:30 p.m.

The Bobcat soccer team is also in action as it hosts Coloma at 5 p.m.

Friday finds the Niles track team at Comstock and the soccer team at Bridgman.

Niles golf will compete in the Kalamazoo Christian Invitational. The Viking baseball and softball teams are in Coldwater for an invitational, while the soccer team heads to Dowagiac to make up a match that was postponed on Monday.

The non-league match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Brandywine will host the Bobcat Classic tennis tournament at Plym Park beginning at 10 a.m.
