Jeanine (Record) Wicker, 39, of South Bend, Ind. passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014.

A celebration of life service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday April 15, 2014, at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, 900 West Western Ave., South Bend, Ind. 46601. Friends may visit from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs.

Jeanine was born April 12, 1974, in New York, N.Y. to Thomas Record and Daphne Staley. She graduated from Dunedin High School in 1992 in Dunedin, Fla. She served her country in the United States Navy from 1992-1996. Jeanine was associated with Bodywork Massage Therapy as a massage therapist in Berrien Springs. She worked for Bangs Salon in South Bend as a massage therapist.

She was a member of the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, the South Bend Salvation Army, Granger Community Church and Land Mark Education. In her spare time she enjoyed scrapbooking, drawing, music (especially anything by Prince) and sports (especially her beloved San Antonio Spurs).

Jeanine is survived by her son, Elijah Wicker of South Bend; father and step-mother Thomas (Tari) Record of Berrien Springs; mother Daphne Staley of England; siblings Walter Bayne and Melissa Bayne of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Dawn Staley and Kim Staley of England. Jeanine was preceded in death by her brother Mark Staley, also of England.
