Brandywine played power softball in its season opening sweep of Berrien Springs Thursday afternoon.

The Bobcats banged out seven extra base hits, including four home runs in defeating the Shamrocks 10-7 and 19-3. The second game lasted only three innings due to the mercy rule.

Makenna Hartline homered and drove in three runs in the opening game, while sister Michaela Hartline also homered.

In the nightcap, Makenna Hartline homered again as did Brandywine’s Justine Sater. Victoria Ebersol and Aryalynn Lasane added doubles for the Bobcats.
