BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI – Lake Michigan College hosted a lunch today for about 70 members of the construction team working on Beckwith Hall, the new residence hall being constructed on the Napier Avenue Campus.

“We wanted to thank the construction team for their faithful, unrelenting work during this harsh winter. Their dedication has kept us on schedule to complete construction early this summer and be ready for students to move in this August,” said Vice President for Student Services Dr. Clinton Gabbard.

Chris Miller and Joe Page of CPM Construction were on hand to show Gabbard, LMC President Dr. Bob Harrison and Rocky the Red Hawk around the site. The Tritones, a jazz trio of LMC students Ivan Akansiima, Chris James and Brandon Yenchus, performed at the lunch, and were joined for a song by one of the construction workers.

While construction is happening, the College is accepting housing applications for the fall semester. Those interested in learning more can contact the admissions office at (269) 927-8626, or plan to stop by the Napier Avenue Campus open house on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
