Kenneth “Kenny” Williams, 43, of Niles, passed away at Memorial Hospital in South Bend on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
Kenny was born on Oct. 21, 1970, to Kenneth Sr. and Susan (Davis) Williams in Niles, Mich. He attended Brandywine Schools and worked as a plumber and pipe fitter. He was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 172.
Kenny wed the love of his life, Lynn Horvath, on Sept. 15, 1990, and together they had one daughter, Hannah.
Kenny was a family man through and through. He loved going out to eat because it was the best place to socialize and have fellowship. He enjoyed going to the beach, camping and cooking out with his friends and family whenever he got the chance. He also enjoyed a good game of cards or dice no matter what shape his health was in. Though Kenny suffered from congestive heart failure, he would always tell you he was “Doing good!” and was active right up until the end.
Kenny’s caring and nurturing nature was evident to all, especially when he chose to be an organ and tissue donor.
He is preceded in death by his son, Joshua Williams, and younger brother, Christopher Williams.
Kenny is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Susan Williams of Niles; wife Lynn Williams of Niles; daughter Hannah Williams of Niles; sister Amy Williams of Niles; his best friend and uncle Dennis (Rae) Williams of Niles; special aunt Barbara Kain of Galien, Mich.; sister-in-law Stacey Williams of Naples, Fla. and a host of extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Niles with Pastor Ray Fulbright of Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating.
