New members were inducted to the Ring Lardner National Junior Honor Society during a ceremony March 5 in the school cafeteria.

All current and new members were introduced and recognized for the commitment they have made to maintaining the five pillars of the National Junior Honor Society constitution: scholarship, character, service, citizenship and leadership.

The new inductees are a highly selective group, chosen for review after having attained a 3.67 cumulative grade point average or higher for the first semester of the school year. Students who chose to complete activity forms were further evaluated on their involvement in school and community extracurricular activities, leadership, service, essay and teacher recommendation.

The keynote speaker was former junior honor society member and current Niles New Tech sophomore Allison Suckle.
