Joan Geren, 59, passed away at home on March 3, 2014. Joan was born May 28, 1954, in Kalamazoo to the late Albert M. and Stella I. (Strempski) McCleary.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer (John) Butkus and Tracy (David) Ballentine; grandchildren, Monica Geren, Mychael and Zachary Childers and Cable, Corbin and Xavier Butkus; brother, John (Bev) McCleary; niece, Annette (Wolfgang) Wakaliuk and nephew, Daniel McCleary.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour before the service beginning at 12 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund, c/o the funeral home.
