Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 early morning at Lake Hospital in Niles, Heaven called an angel home. Carol Baker, 65, passed away with her loved ones beside her.

Carol was born in Port Huron, Mich., Nov. 23, 1948 to her beloved father and mother, William and Bernice (Williams) Latherum.2-10BakerObit

Carol was welcomed into Heaven by her father, mother and brother Bill Lathrum.

She leaves behind three sisters, Paula Harris, Paulette Worsham and Linda Kimmel, who all reside in Port Huron, Michigan.

Garl F. Wilson, Sr. and Carol were dedicated parents to their children, Tina Arkangle of Niles, Angie (Mark) Starrett, of Dowagiac, Michelle Canfield of Cassopolis and their only son Garl Wilson, Jr.

Carol was very proud of her Chippewa heritage. She enjoyed being a grandmother to her 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a hard worker all of her life, but the most important thing to Carol was her family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Services to honor her life will be on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
