Dowagiac wrestlers split with Plainwell, Berrien Springs

The Dowagiac wrestling team split a pair of Wolverine Conference matches in its final home and regular season match of the year Thursday.

The Chieftains routed Plainwell 60-8 in a non-divisional match before falling to West Division foe Berrien Springs 43-33.

Winning two matches on the night for the Chieftains were Tyler Wessendorf (119), Nathan Tackitt (130), Troy Ring (215) and Tristan Howard (285).

Dowagiac will travel to Three Rivers to compete in the Wolverine Conference Tournament Saturday in Three Rivers.
