Joshua Wayne Gallup, 37, of Coldwater, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at his home.1-28GallupObit

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Coldwater with pastors David Pierce and Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Josh was born April 29, 1976, in Coldwater, Mich., to Wayne and Gloria (Lampman) Gallup.

He grew up in Coldwater, graduating from Coldwater High School in 1994. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1996. He was stationed in Hawaii where he served in the infantry and had also been stationed in Japan and South Korea. He was honorably discharged in 2002.

Josh was known for his artistic metalworking ability. He owned and operated Kool Kustomz, where he built custom motorcycles for clients all over the world.

He was a loving and devoted father and will be missed by many, especially his family who loved him dearly.

Mr. Gallup is survived by his children Hayden and Lexus Gallup, his parents Wayne and Gloria Gallup of Coldwater, his girlfriend Jenny Johnson of Niles, his brother Byron (Carrie) Gallup of Sherwood, his sister Elishia (Austin) Southfield of Litchfield, his grandmothers Doris Lampman of Parma and Willa Gallup of Coldwater, his aunts and uncles Doug (Marlene) Gallup of Marshall, Pam (Jack) Morrison and Holly (Don) Sichta of Cheboygan, Gail (Mark) Henderson of Bradenton, Fla., David (Judy) Lampman of Bedford, Texas, and Sally (Jim) Weber of Parma.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Harold Gallup and Pete Lampman.
